
🏃♀️ Our 5K to 10K Programme
You've conquered your first 5K — now what's next? Whether you want to build endurance, challenge yourself further, or simply keep the momentum going, our 5K to 10K programme is designed to help you level up. This supportive, group-based course is led by UK Athletics Licensed Run Leader Simone, and is perfect for runners who can comfortably complete 5K and are ready to push their boundaries. Over the course of 8-10 weeks, you'll progress from 5 kilometres to confidently completing 10K.


🌟 What to Expect
You'll be training alongside others who are on the same journey — building distance, strength, and confidence together. Each week, you'll meet at a designated location (which may vary) for a guided session led by Simone.
Every session includes:
A thorough warm-up to prepare your body for longer distances
Progressive runs that gradually increase mileage and stamina
Technique tips on pacing, breathing, and endurance running
Support and encouragement from Simone and your fellow runners
A proper cool-down and recovery advice to finish
Between sessions, you'll receive guidance on additional runs or rest days to help you build strength safely and avoid injury.

By the end of the programme, you'll be able to run 10 kilometres continuously — doubling your distance and proving to yourself just how far you can go.
Many participants go on to enter 10K races, join running clubs, or continue training for half marathons and beyond. But this programme is about more than the finish line — it's about building endurance, mental resilience, and the confidence to keep pushing your own boundaries.
👟 What You'll Need
You don't need anything fancy — just the basics:
Comfortable, weather-appropriate running clothing
A supportive pair of trainers (consider a gait analysis if increasing mileage)
A bottle of water
A willingness to challenge yourself
Training will be progressive and manageable. Walk breaks are always allowed if needed, and every runner is supported at their own pace.

Simone Baggaley is a UK Athletics Licensed Run Leader with experience helping runners progress safely and confidently. Her approach is encouraging, practical, and focused on helping you build the endurance and mental strength needed to reach 10K.
You'll receive guidance on pacing, recovery, injury prevention, and staying motivated when the miles start to add up. No one gets left behind.
